Alejandro Ramirez de Arellano participates in Bucknell BizPitch competition

Alejandro Ramirez de Arellano, Spring TX (77381), participated in the third annual Business Pitch Competition at Bucknell University.

Alejandro was a member of the Ignite team that placed second in the annual Business Pitch competition for their crowdfunding app project. Second prize was $2,000 and a six-month membership in the Bucknell University Entrepreneur Incubator.

A junior in the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Management program majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Management for Engineers, Alejandro is the son of Ricardo and Isabel Ramirez de Arellano and a graduate of John Cooper School.

This year's BizPitch competition was held Nov. 11 at Bucknell. Student entrepreneurs were given five minutes to present their business ideas to several Bucknell alumni judges, all successful business owners. || Related story: Doubling Down
