Somer Dice honored at Bucknell University

Somer Dice, Manhattan Beach (90266) has been honored at Bucknell University.

Somer received the Julia Fonville Smithson Memorial Prize for her nonfiction work, "Beyond the Break: Waterhood and Development."

The prize recognizes excellence in undergraduate creative writing.

A junior in the Bachelor of Arts program, majoring in English - Creative Writing and Women's and Gender Studies, Somer is the daughter of Thomas Elfmont and Doreen Dice-Elfmont and a graduate of Marymount High School.

Honors were awarded during Family Weekend and Homecoming Weekend at Bucknell.
